Sleeping on my back

Does anyone know any good ways to fall asleep on your back? I think this would really help my acne, since I am usually sleeping on my face.

Someone told me to try using one of those chiropractic type pillows, but it never worked for me so I just change the pillow cases every other day or so. I suppose you could lay close to one side of the bed and then on the other side put a body pillow or something that will stop you if you try to roll over. If you try to roll the other way , you'll fall out of bed!!!

Good Luck

Since I have mad acne on my back and chest I try to fall asleep on my side with my outside leg out and my head in as much of an upright position as possible.

Just an idea.

Best of luck!

Pizzaface -- After sleeping on my side all bundled up in tons of pillows for decades, I cannot fathom getting a good night's sleep on my back, even if my life (or looks! <g> ) depended on it. Ever since I can remember, I have never been comfortable feeling the pressure of my body parts crunched up or touching each other (especially the bony parts like your knees), so I use a pillow between my knees and another to rest my arm on. Then I have an assortment of pillows for my head to keep it elevated (I feel like I'm going to smother if my head is flat), and in that concocted assortment is a neck roll that gives my neck support. With all the head pillows, I'm mostly interested in getting a gentle "lift" to help me breathe better, but I still rest my head on the very edge of all the pillows. In that position, my neck and head are comfortably elevated, and I'm still on my side, but my face is not actually resting on anything.

I'm not sure if that makes sense - I hope it does - but it helps me. I also agree that changing your pillow case (for any and all pillows that touch your face) nightly or very often is a good idea. Even a clean body that doesn't sweat secretes oils at night and you'll rub them right back on yourself using the same pillowcase night after night.

I also am careful to use only unscented detergents and fabric softeners, as I find the scented detergents irritate my skin. To get a pleasant scent on the bedclothes, I keep scented sachets (usually lavender-scented) under the pillows, which help me get a restful sleep. Hope this helps.

oh my god, you must sleep with like 8 different pillows!?! It must take you about 15 minutes to get into bed. Hehe, cute but funny.
