For me at least, I seem to only get breakouts or zits, when I get stressed out. The last couple weeks have been rough for me, cause I quit my job, etc. I had 3 little pimples. GRRRRRR
What do you ppl think? How do you manage to keep your stress level to a minumim?
guitarplayer 07-12-2003, 08:56 PM I haven't found a link between acne & stress. For instance my acne is worse now that I'm out of school for the summer, than it was when I was in school. Maybe its the warmer weather, but it can't be stress as I have nothing to worry about right now.
poreoilyme 07-12-2003, 09:02 PM Learn to go with the flow, and take things one at a time, realizing no one ever gets it all done. Choose your battles and don't sweat the small stuff. Forget about revenge and bitterness--what goes around comes around without your judgments or need to interfere. Put your energies into your own life, and worry less about what other people think about you or how they act. Get a hobby, take classes, work on self-improvement not how to improve others.
Smile and laugh. You can react negatively, but you can chose not to just as easily! Either way, only the positive choice has possibilities.
When you find yourself getting stressed out, force yourself to switch gears and think about the next movie you want to see, the meaning of life, or something totally unrelated. Consciously divert your attention to other things that require your mind to focus on something productive and thoughtful, or do something physically taxing--cut the grass, play a sport, workout.
